There are things that must be protected
in order to continue our mission.
We at Meiko Kanpoh Steel are committed not only to customer satisfaction but also
to manufacturing products that will lead to a sustainable future.
Our responsibility as part of the Kanpoh Steel Group is to achieve
the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set forth by the United Nations.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
What are the SDGs?

Initiatives for SDGs

    • 2 Zero Hunger
    • 3 Good Health and Well-Being
    • 9 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
    • 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities
Challenge to develop new products for broader areas of society
In addition to the manufacturing and sales of steel furniture and distribution equipment, which we have been engaged in for a long time, we are also focusing on the development, manufacturing, and sales of new products for a wide range of fields such as agriculture, distribution, industry, health, and housing.
We will continue to take on the challenge of helping people lead rich lives that extend beyond business.
    • 12 Responsible Consumption and Production
Ensuring thorough environmentally friendly manufacturing is a responsibility of manufacturers
At the Kashima Factory and Nara Factory, our manufacturing bases, we are committed to resource conservation, energy conservation, and recycling. We pursue manufacturing with minimal environmental impact and constantly strive to reduce environmental pollutants and industrial waste. In addition, we use environmentally friendly powder coating as part of the process. Powder coating has been attracting attention in recent years as an environmentally friendly coating method because it emits less CO2 during the work process and does not use organic solvents, which can cause photochemical smog and health hazards.
    • 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth
Striving to reduce employee workload through improved work efficiency
At the Nara Factory, work is underway to replace aging production lines.
By consolidating processes that have not been integrated before and promoting automation, we will improve work efficiency and reduce the workload of employees.
We will continue to actively make these kinds of strategic investments to create a comfortable working environment.
